Spanish Lessons at “La Granadina School” in Granada, Nicaragua. We offer daily lessons focused on Spanish for travellers, also known as survival Spanish.

As you could probably know learning the basic words and phrases of any language
requires lots of practice. And this is what we have for you at our school. In our program students practice on places where you spend a lot of time, like the market, the bus terminal, at family houses, using their kitchen, the bathroom or the office.

Try our small group session (made up by up to 4 people only). You will get to know other visitors and will have a lot to talk about too. In a matter of hours you will be. In the street introducing yourself to locals, talking about the Weather with the people at your homestay place. In a matter of days you will be expressing yourself with good pronunciation to start asking for directions, ordering at restaurants, assertively shopping at the market and enjoying night life. Learning Spanish at the La Granadina School, will be more than just lesson, it will be a passage through cultural immersion.

Class size: Classes consist of one to four students working with Nicaraguan instructors. Note that at our School in Granada we strive to create an atmosphere of openness and respect for all people and give our students the best possible Spanish language training and experience of Nicaragua.

Class times:

Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (morning session)
Monday to Friday from 2:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (afternoon session)

Our courses are flexible and student oriented. Our aim is to help our students learn Spanish in a friendly, professional environment. Classes can start on any day of the week to suit your schedule and can be tailored to your specific needs and interests. This is why our courses can be also organized as: Personalized private lessons with timetable flexibility always.

The School's building is a lovely old colonial-style adobe located in the central and historic district of Granada. The school occupies the main entrance and lessons make take place near the patio of the house. We keep it clean, although the house needs to have a few things repaired. The school will try to help the community group in charge of the house to keep working on the house.

Tutors of La Granadina School are trained and experienced to teach from beginners to conversational level. Our Spanish speaking instructors have been trained to help students as much as possible to speed the mastering of Spanish as a second language

4 hour per day costs only $14 USD (best bargain: per hour rate is $3.50)

3 hour per day costs only $12 USD (per hour rate $4.00)

2 hour per day costs only $ 9 USD (per hour rate $4.50)

1 hour per day costs only $ 5 USD (per hour rate $5.00)

Home-stay with a local family: Private room, 3 meals per day: $75 USD.

Course Options (5 structured proficiency levels)

Spanish General Course (2 weeks minimum, class size up to 4 students)
20 lessons per week from $70 per week.

Spanish Individual Course (2 weeks minimum, one on one instruction)
20 lessons per week from $95 per week.

Where are we located:

Our address is: On La Libertad street, one and half (1.1/2) blocks from Granada Central Park.

Directions: As soon as you get Granada Centrlal Park, try to reach Hotel Colonial first (it is on North-West corner of the park).

Once the Hotel Colonial, you are already on Libertad street, and right from there start walking to the West (uphill) it is only a 3 minutes walk (one block and half from the corner of Parque Central).

Our office hours are: Monday - Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM
